Fine Art Judaica : About our collection
Being an artist, the quality of the art that goes into my home is very important to me. So when my wife and I go looking for Judaica, I am very very picky. A menorah or mezuzah that we choose has to be something I consider a work of art -- something beautiful enough to be a part of our home everyday.
I have learned that my ketubah customers are just as selective about their art. I often get asked by people who bought one of my ketubahs for recommendations on Judaica. Therefore, I have assembled this collection of fine art Judaica, artworks that I believe captures some of the same aesthetic and spirit as my ketubahs. I searched for the best, freshest designs that reinterpret traditional forms in new ways. I found some amazingly talented artists who go beyond traditional conventions, to create Judaica that is both functional and beautiful.
Everything in this collection follows one rule: it has to be a work of art I would like to own myself.
Judaica for interfaith families and homes
I am part of an interfaith family. We celebrate the Jewish holidays, but do it in a way that is respectful of our non-Jewish side as well. Our holidays, whether Jewish or Christian, are fully inclusive events, filled with life and energy for our entire family. Therefore it is important to us to find Judaica that feels at home in our interfaith home.
We want Judaica that is functional, beautiful, and could be appreciated by both our Jewish and non-Jewish sides. We want a menorah that our kids' non-Jewish grandparents would feel comfortable helping to light. We want a seder plate that drew people in, instead of made them feel separate.
I believe that my collection of Judaica fulfills this role. I am proud to offer you works of art that I believe both Jewish and Interfaith families will admire and cherish.
